This year, Dr. Waters will be coming to Calgary at the end of March to see Sam and Logan. This is a very special Maplemor milestone. There are still two dogs alive from our “A litter” and the pedigree consists of many dogs/family members that have been added to this longevity study for Rottweilers.
If you haven’t heard of the Old Grey Muzzle Tour it is a 72-day out-of-the-laboratory, into-the-living-room scientific expedition by David J. Waters, DVM, PhD to study the oldest-living Rottweilers in North America in their homes.
Dr. Waters is the Director of the Center for Exceptional Longevity Studies at the Gerald P. Murphy Cancer Foundation in West Lafayette, Indiana.
The expedition begins in Long Beach, California on March 3, 2016. Dr. Waters will be arriving in Calgary at the end of March to visit us at Maplemor.
You can discover more about Dr. Waters and the Tour on the Old Grey Muzzle Tour Facebook page.
Dr. Waters scientific studies are an integral part of the Gerald P. Murphy Cancer Foundation’s studies into exceptional dog aging in order to crack the secret of cancer resistance.
The Murphy Cancer Foundation has a new website which provides instant access to past, present and future research and educational activities. The Muprhy Cancer Foundation’s website is at www.gpmcf.org.
