Prior to leaving for the ARC National in Carson City NV, I had Takoda entered in the TD test. I was unable to run her in the tracking test due to unforeseen events so Michelle Whistlecraft ran my dogs ( plus her dogs ). Takoda got her TD !!!! I am hoping to take a shot at her CKC TDX this year and continue to work on her AKC VST work so that we can enter soon.
While at the National, Takoda finished her CD in obedience with a 3rd place. We weren’t so lucky in Barnhunt at the Open level. We were really good at finding 1 out of 2 rats but either ran out of time or I indicated the wrong tube lol!!!! Our agility went really well considering this was her first go at competition since the winter of 2015 ( took time out for puppies and conditioning ). We qualified in FAST but no clean runs in Open. We will get there but it was great to see her enthusiasm and joy on the courses.
We also placed 3rd in Brood Bitch class with her two sons “Hoss” and “Bond”. We also made the first cut in Best of Breed class – again, not bad for a girl in working weight who doesn’t play in the show ring anymore.
